What YOU Can Do!

Interested in helping out at the Center? Volunteers are the backbone of the Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center. We are always looking for enthusiastic people to welcome visitors to our beautiful community, maintain our lovely native plant gardens, fight invasive plants to maintain our scenic river views, and serve on our advisory Board and committees.

Through your volunteer efforts you add to the quality of life in our community. We are committed to making your volunteer experience rewarding. If you volunteer at the front desk, one-on-one training is provided and it’s a great way to learn more about the region and meet people from around the world. Master Gardeners can use gardening volunteer hours to meet required Extension service hours.

To maintain your volunteer status, we ask that you agree to serve at least 4-8 hours per month on average. Volunteers can choose other projects and special events throughout the year to meet their personal time needs.
